1. Bisbee Pirate Weekend

Every August, the historic mining town of Bisbee is taken over by pirates, mermaids, and treasure hunters. Pirate Weekend features a maritime marketplace, costume contests, pub crawls, a mermaid parade, live music, and enough rum-themed fun to make you forget you're 5,000 feet above sea level.

2. Elvis in Bisbeeland

One week after the pirates leave, Elvis arrives.
This one-day celebration brings Elvis tribute artists, live music, themed parties, classic cars, and plenty of blue suede shoes to Bisbee's historic downtown. It's one of those wonderfully weird Arizona traditions that perfectly fits the town's personality.
3. Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering

Cowboy poetry is alive and well in Arizona.
This gathering celebrates the ranching traditions of the West with poetry, storytelling, western music, and performances by authentic working cowboys. If you love Arizona history and western culture, this is one of the state's most unique events.
